Special Thanks
A special thanks to everyone that assisted my son that tragic night. Too all the
people we do not know, and those we do, that wrote to us at the time of Alan’s
murder and during the trial. Their letters were of huge support and empathy and
we thank them most sincerely for taking the time to write to us.
We were unaware of how much, we the public depend on the professionalism and
integrity of the people who work within the Garda Siochana. But the last two
years have opened our eyes to the debt we owe to everyone involved in the
investigation of my son’s murder. The Detective Unit and the uniform members of
Coolock Garda Station, The Technical Bureau and all other Gardí involved from
other stations. I am now aware of the constraints of which the Garda has to work
under. I do not envy their tasks. They have all been very professional and have
shown empathy towards my family and I. They have gathered all the facts in
relation to my son’s murder and have relayed them before the court and for that
I thank them.
